RISING team members receive funding for OARS work
Salt intruded field on the Delaware coast.
Members of our RISING team have received funding for the continuation of the Options for Adaptation to Rising Seas (OARS) work!
Dr. Colby Silvert (University of Maryland) received funding from Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (NE SARE) Professional Development Grant to implement OARS: A Tool for Comparing Adaptation Options for Salt-Intruded Lands. This three-year project will create a publicly accessible, web-based decision-support tool for agricultural service providers working with coastal Maryland farmers and landowners.
Dr. Elliott White (Stanford University), Dr. Kate Tully (University of Maryland), and Dr. Becky Epanchin-Niell (University of Maryland) received Year 2 funds from the Stanford Sustainability Accelerator Program to build a decision support tool for woodlot owners in Maryland.
Congratulations to Drs. Colby Silvert, Elliott White, Becky Epanchin-Niell, and Kate Tully!
